About
Brenda Becker
As a spiritual life coach, my mission is to empower people to live deep, meaningful, grounded lives.
This begins with recognizing your personal sacredness — a starting point for improving the quality of life.
Until I was widowed in my early 30’s, I hadn’t given much thought to my faith.
My husband’s sudden death and becoming a single mom to three small children led me to seminary work and becoming an ordained minister.
I wanted to grow in my own understanding of that energy we call God, which is unnamable.
Through it all, I have discovered that coaching people on their spiritual journeys is my calling.
I want to empower others to recognize how precious and wonderful they are created to be.
I believe all persons are good at their core, even if they’ve lost their way.
I believe everyone has those holy moments when that which we call God is breaking through to our existence.
I believe everyone has those moments of awe when you know there is something beyond this life. Most folks are not aware or don’t know how to pay attention.
I believe getting in touch with those moments of awe, with the sacred and the holy, has the possibility of improving emotional wellbeing.
30 Years Helping People Find Deeper Meaning and Soul-Satisfying Joy
I have earned two Master’s degrees, one in Mathematics and another in Divinity. I have also completed graduate work in Pastoral Counseling.
My various roles have all revolved around improving lives.

- college teacher
- college academic advisor
- parish minister
- college chaplain
- mental health therapist
- addiction therapist
- hospital chaplain
The Masters in Divinity (M.Div) that I received from Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) in 1987 gave me the background in ministry and resources in scripture and spirituality.
The graduate courses that I completed for the Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling gave me the background in therapy and the ability to diagnose mental health in clients.
I completed the course requirements and was granted the Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the State of Indiana.
The Association for Professional Chaplains (and the chaplaincy training) gave me additional communication skills for listening to a person’s personality dynamics and their beliefs about life and death, sickness, and health.
Through all the ups and downs of my life, I’ve learned to search for the Holy in my daily life because it can stir energies deep within that have the capacity to be turned into words and actions of well-being.
